How to join TACAR
The applying organisation is required to read the policy document and to fill in the two annex documents appended at the end of the policy document.
The process is initiated via a face-to-face meeting, during which the applying
organisation hands the annexes (see the section below) and the trust-anchor to the TERENA representative or to the Trusted Introducer.
The current Trusted Introducers are:
- David Groep (NIKHEF) representing the EUGridPMA
- Yosho Tanaka (AIST) representing the APGrid PMA
- Mike Helm (EsNET) representing the TAG PMA
Once the process has commenced after the first meeting, PGP may be used as trusted mechanism to electronically submit updates.
Documents to prepare for the first face-to-face meeting
- The first document to be completed is the registration letter.
This document provides the general information about the CA, the key and the CP/CPS.
Two paper copies should be provided to the TERENA representative. - To update the documents electronically, the applying organisation is required to fill in the accreditation letter.
This document provides information about the people who are authorised in the CA to update the documents and their PGP keys.
Two paper copies should be provided to the TERENA office.
If this procedure is not followed, future updates must take place via face-to-face meetings. - A CD containing the trust-anchor, the electronic version of the registration letter, the electronic version of the accreditation letter, and the related PGP keys should also be provided.
